At our skin care and cosmetic surgery center in Westchester, we are constantly keeping track of the best and safest new products and treatments to offer our clients. SkinCenter was among the first practices in Westchester to introduce Belotero Balance.
What Does Belotero Treat?
Belotero is a FDA-approved injectable dermal filler used to treat and correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. Fillers are injectable products that are used to “fill in” the creases and folds. Belotero is a popular treatment option for those finer lines and wrinkles, particularly the thin lines that form around the lips – commonly known as perioral lines or smile lines. These lines are especially noticeable, as they often appear at the slightest expression involving our mouths. Often times these lines are difficult to treat because the skin above the mouth is very delicate and the lines are so very fine and thin.
How Does Belotero Work?
Belotero is made up of hyaluronic acid (HA), which naturally exists in our skin. HA works by binding to water in our body to fill in folds, wrinkles and lines for quick and natural-looking results.
Your face is one of a kind – so you want to choose a filler that appreciates your uniqueness. Belotero adapts to your individual skin make-up, meaning that it is purposely designed to navigate your unique facial contours. Upon injection, Belotero adapts to your skin’s distinct structure, softening the lines and wrinkles that have formed around the eyes, mouth and nose, including the the vertical lines near the mouth that sometimes form from smoking or heredity causes. These lines can be very shallow and easily treatable with Belotero, which is soft enough to target these areas without going deeper into the dermis.
Other commonly treated areas include marionette lines and smile lines, so if you want people to notice your smile and not your smile lines, discuss this option with one of the expert physicians at our skin care and cosmetic surgery center in Westchester.
